The choice of procurement method may have a significant bearing on the outcome of a project, therefore consideration and implementation of the correct strategy must be of paramount importance if the goal of ultimate project success is to be achieved.

OJEU tendering advice

The European Commission Procurement Directives require that, depending what is being purchased, opportunities such as contracts over set threshold values are to be advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) and that contracts are awarded in accordance with certain standard procedural rules.

Adjudication

Driven by the recommendations of the Latham Report, and in particular disputes within the construction industry, the introduction of a built-in adjudication process was seen as being advantageous and should become the key to dispute resolution within the industry. Langmuir & Hay have a registered adjudicator with the Academy of Construction Adjudicators who has been appointed to adjudicate on disputes particular to the industry.

Expert witness

Having a high degree of knowledge and extensive experience in our fields of operation, we have been called in the role of expert witness in matters of dispute in a variety of circumstances including the court of law.

CDM co-ordinator
